Optical reconstruction of transparent objects with phase-only SLMs.
Three approaches for visualization of transparent micro-objects from holographic data using phase-only SLMs are described. The objects are silicon micro-lenses captured in the near infrared by means of digital holographic microscopy and a simulated weakly refracting 3D object with size in the micrometer range. In the first method, profilometric/tomographic data are retrieved from captured holog...
متن کاملPhase-only signal reconstruction
In this paper, we develop a set of conditions under which a sequence is uniquely specified by the phase or samples of the phase of its Fourier transform. These conditions are applicable to mixedphase one-dimensional and multi-dimensional sequences. Under the specified conditions, we also present several algorithms which may be used to reconstruct a sequence from its phase.
متن کاملPhase-Only Optical Information Processing
In order to perform an experiment into optical phase-only correlation it was necessary to fabricate an SLM to the highest standards possible. Chapter five has provided a background to the electronic operation of the 16×16 SLM and the liquid crystal light modulation mechanism used in this project. Actual fabrication of a working spatial light modulator is an extremely delicate process requiring ...
متن کاملPhase-only signal reconstruction by MagnitudeCut
In this paper, we present a new algorithm, called MagnitudeCut, for recovering a signal from the phase of its Fourier transform. We casted our recovering problem into a new convex optimization problem, and then solved it by the block coordinate descent algorithm and the interior point algorithm, in which the iteration process consists of matrix vector product and inner product. We used the new ...
متن کاملSparse Signal Reconstruction from Phase-only Measurements
We demonstrate that the phase of complex linear measurements of signals preserves significant information about the angles between those signals. We provide stable angle embedding guarantees, akin to the restricted isometry property in classical compressive sensing, that characterize how well the angle information is preserved. They also suggest that a number of measurements linear in the spars...
